“Guess what I saw today?” Those were common words for a Professional Land Surveyor with a lifelong photography hobby arriving home at night.

There is an incredible amount of beauty in the world around us, but the trick is, to see it. Being profoundly deaf for most of my life, I may have an advantage, as I see far more than most people, but hear far less.

Having lived and worked in the Pacific Northwest, gave me easy access to nature in a wide range of environments. Photography became a way of communicating the beauty I saw in the world around me, in a way others could enjoy and understand.

As you browse the galleries and read the blogs, imagine you are right there with me, seeing it for the first time.
